My place is clean, though I'm planning to verbs everything up using bleach...I am wondering where they could be thriving....
Answers:    fruit flies should not be bothering your aloe, usually they swing around anywhere there is ginger juice, grapes, wine, anything fruity and sweet. Check to see if you hold a sponge, or cloth that you have wipe up a fruit juice spill next to, or anything like that.

There is the haphazard that they are not fruit flies, but soil gnats, that do live in the soil of potted plants. In that grip, the only point to do is to take the aloe outside, dump it out of the pot, shake bad all the dirt, rinse off the roots, and repot it surrounded by new soil.

Gnats will also swing around kitty litter, damp washcloths, moisture probably under your refrigerator or washer, tplaces approaching that. You sound resembling a very verbs person, so I don't envisage these things could be the problem. We had them within the house for a while this summer, but we open our window, and they come thru the screens. Everytime we have a glass of wine they hung around, but it is cooling stale and they are gone for the season.
