Go to the vet and ask for some flea spray...you can buy cheaper versions, but a more concentrated spray is more important.
Spray all around the rooms (edges) rugs and cupboards, skirting/baseboards, and furniture, enlarge windows for airing, and cover nose and mouth whilst spraying.

Do not spray around birds/fish/other animals..follow instructions.

Fleas can be brought surrounded by on your shoes, or of course, animals and once contained by your house can multiply rapidly, make over linen, curtains and bedding, (yours and your animals) and watch your animal for any further signs of infestation day after day, especially in thaw weather.
