Answers:    I've have my christmas cactus five years (in the same pot). I of late give it a partially cup water every other daylight. It flowered beautifully two weeks ago. I granted I neglected it too long and it needed to have unmarked soil. But the radio call surrounded by show on home and garden said not to disturb it during winter: wait til March. The Jobes be also deemed okay, or as a substitute, they said solution fertilizer for african violets.

Water from the bottom when the soil feels dry. Usually weekly.Don't over marine and they do better if you water them smaller quantity when they are flowering. I have used the spikes beside no problems.
