Do you still put them under the pane? or would they be better on an inner wall?
Answers:    Single glazed windows would warrant placing the radiators below the windows.

"The standard logic of radiator placement is that they should be placed underneath windows to counteract the downdraft of cold nouns from the window. If they are placed on the wall converse a window they will set up a convection current contained by which hot air rises and sits at the top of the room and pulls cold nouns across the room from the window."

With modern window (not yours) placement may not be as critical.

no because the heat will simply escaoe through the window - put them on an inner wall - I recommend double galzing though - is realtively cheap and will recover a lot on heat expenses.
