I just rented a home near central a.c. and enjoy no clue how it works... i have the thermostat set on 78 but I cant discern anything coming out... however the a.c. unit is running similar to crazy. How cold is the central nouns suppose to make the house? Its still 80 degree in my house and its be running straight for 24 hours. Im on the verge of buying pane units, but i repugnance too becaue one of the features of this home was middle ir and heat. is this the approach central nouns is suppose to be, im miserable...not to mention its around 98 in the afternoons here

Are you sure the setting is for "Cool", and Not "Heat"?
Winter have just passed and it may still be on warmness.
There are little levers on the thermostat.
Set the heat lower and see how that does.
Also, check the filter in the upper air intake. It may be very dirty contained by need of replacing.
On the outside element, place your hand above exhaust enthusiast. It should be warm or hot nouns.
If it's not cooling for other reasons, telephone call the landlord. It may involve servicing.
