Ceiling Christmas decorations - alternatives to pins/blu-tack? Is there any alternatives to pins and blu-tack for keeping Xmas decorations...
Is there any alternatives to pins and blu-tack for keeping Xmas decorations on the ceiling?
As these tend to ruin the paint; pins apparently leave holes and Blu-tack leaves slippery marks and tears the paint away when removed.
I am looking for something to save garlands up, and, although it may be difficult, something to hold christmas lights on the wall.
Would any sort of tape be well brought-up for keeping the garlands on the ceiling - not sure if it's possible to seize something a bit stronger than masking cassette that won't damage the paint. The paint isn't flaky, so it should know how to withstand some strength.
Thanks in credit.
Answers: You can get hooks that are mounted on a short time clear, rubbery sucker - I know they work on glass beacuse I put decs on my window with them. It would depend on your ceiling surface anyone very smooth for them to stay up though. I get a big pack in my local lb1 shop. You can also seize a white version of Blu tack but I've forgotten the describe, I think Pritt clear it.
Good luck.
