I have of late bought a Chinese made rotovator with a 4 stroke 163 cc ohv engine. The instructions say aloud that in China, use a 15w40 grease, outside China use 30 weight grease. I have some 20w50 synthetic motorcycle grease in the garage. Can I use this?
Answers: You shouldn't own a problem. It's a little large (Thick) but it should work just fine. Since most small engines use a splash method of lubrication, a thicker grease may be more difficult to move around, and probably best to use a 15w30. But you should be just fine, lately remember when you change your grease (Best to do this after about 20 hours of initial operation) use the correct 15w30 (It can be synthetic).
