We have a pool, is it okay to drain it during the winter months?
winter months around here second around november - march

in that is usually no sun rays...meaning we just about see the sun although we know its up....

we dont have a cover because we cannot afford a cover at the moment.

we dont own small children and we keep our dogs inside...this is of late for those that are rude and have smart allecky comments

Answers:    Why couldn't you? Drain it anytime you want,except when here is a water shortage due to drought. Then you would be facing a fine for refill it. I am in So. California,we one and only drain our pools every few years, to scrub it. Othet than that,it is full year round.

You should always drain your pool, especially if you don't own a cover for it. Even if you don't have young-looking kids around. You never know what could happen, and besides, you wouldn't swim contained by that water subsequent summer, would you?
