I live on a 3rd floor apartment and have no concept how a mouse got contained by. I don't leave stretch out food anywhere overnight. What are the quickest ways to catch it? I don't meticulousness if it's dead or alive, a moment ago caught, and I don't want to waste greatly of money on it. Thanks.
P.S. I don't have a cat or a friend near a cat.

u should go and get some cheese and put some rat poison on it
or if u can't get poison, the simply other way is to set up a clothed size box around it, held up by a stick with a string connected to the stick
and when the mouse comes to guzzle the cheese, you pull the string, making the stick dribble, along with the box over the mouse
so, it's any u spend time getting the poison, or spend time watching the box
poor u, having ur time consumed O.O
Set traps which snap. Put them against walls where on earth you saw the mouse. They tend to run around the edges of rooms rather than across the room. I found a humane trap lower than my kitchen cabinet which must have be there for at tiniest a year. It was void! Bait the snap trap with chocolate or peanut butter (apparently their favourite). Check on a regular argument. (We forgot one and boy do dead mice smell!)
