Someone on here some time ago said she saw one running around and her husband "grabbed the first thing to hand" which be 'Cif Mousse' - she said it killed the cockroach.

I have no notion on how to get rid of cockroaches - nasty things.

Answers:    I am not aware of a specific cockroach repellent. A fly repellent containing DEET will do the trick but DEET is quite wicked stuff, it can give you liver cancer if exposed to it for too long.
The best way to control cockroaches is one of the investigational generation baits that are available. They are like mad safer than the sprays.
