Backyard roast? We are planning a backyard spit roast at our holiday farmhouse...

We are planning a backyard spit roast at our holiday farmhouse from a while ago. Four months ago,four of us friends purchased a piglet & a neigbour few houses down be kind plenty to raise it & have grown to a medium sized pig.

My sister Kate and I beside two of our friends are planning to spit roast it on open fire surrounded by the next two weeks. We are wanting to do the killing ourselves as we hold seen them done earlier, however, we do not have access to a rifle, so what other obedient ways could we do it with knife etc?

All helpful hints would be great!

P.S Leave the tail attached and later when roasted give it to some drunken fool to munch on hahaha, will be the banter of the night..
A framing fastener gun would do the job and be valid quick...Try doing it beside a knife..you are going to own hell of a fight trying to cut through a hogs skin near common kitchen knife..and if I miss..the fight is on..take a nail gun(framing gun)..and a sudden squeeze of the trigger drive a 4 or5 inch nail right into it's skull and spawn it painless...for the bo5th of you
