There are tiny ants roaming around my house, the house was built surrounded by 2003, I live in main Florida (where all the brush fires are happening), and I come across to have these tiny ants running around, I hold no clue where they're coming from, conceivably it's because of the heat, but what kinda spray should I consider, but harmless for my tiny dog?
you can try to carry the stuff that they sell at the Home depot. the spray stuff never works. Is the stuff that your spread around your house, the ants think it as food back to thier net, eats it and they die. I also hear spreading dry grits will work too, never try that one, but if it works, no injure in trying.
These are what are call 'sugar' ants. They are adult ants and are attracted to anything sweet.
I suggest getting a 5 lb rucksack of cornmeal (not cornbread mix) and sprinkling it completely around the perimeter of your house. The ants take it back to the queen and it swells. Also foreign ants will not cross the line of cornmeal.
Answers: they aren't kid ants..that's as big as they get. The ants you see foraging around is purely a small percentage of the colony population so spraying for them is not going to stop the problem. Chances are they are a sugar feeding ant so a generic ant bait resembling Terro Gel works well. If by karma they seem to want proteins instead budge with Combat Gel
Forget corn dinnertime..grits..malto meal ...etc to explode the ants...fully developed ants don't feed on solid foods.
