Anybody know where on earth I can buy coal for my potbelly stove? ...
Go down to Brown and 2nd street, turn right and half course down the block on the left side is a store where on earth you can buy it. If your not from here then you could own given us an idea where on earth your at.
Try a fireplace and porch type store; they can refer you to where you can attain it, if they don't sell it.
And if they can't, try a Tractor Supply or cattle farm supply store in a more rural nouns near where on earth you live.
I know you are supposed to use low-ash coal in coal burning stoves, not soft coal or charcoal briquettes. But that's almost all I really do know!
Some of the weak coal burning stoves can also burn wood and wood pellets--easier to find and cheaper to use, in in no doubt parts of the country.
But some can't burn both, and if you don't know, make sure to ask.
Make sure to enjoy your older style iron stove checked for hairline cracks and if you aren't sure of yourself on safe installation of the flue pipe, etc, draw from an expert to do that part.
If adjectives else fails, ring a chimney sweep/cleaning service. They may be able to backing you with safekeeping checks on your old stove, supply of proper fuel --or suggestion on where to attain it--and operation guidlelines for your stove.
Answers: coal is readily avail. here in Pa. from nurture mills,a few of the farm supply stores.Best bet may be to contact a coal stove retailer contained by your area.I'm sure they can point you surrounded by the right direction.
