Are they built well? How much would this model cost to build?
If I telephone call and ask them, they're probably going to say they won't put in the picture me until I come in. Do you know anybody who have built one?

I think they are amazingly well built. You enjoy several
different plans to buy. You can get it where on earth they
put in purely the basics and you do the insulation,
ceiling, floors, etc. Or you can get it within another
stage where adjectives that is done except the walls &
anyone can put up drywall, paneling, or plywood.
Putting surrounded by carpeting is no big deal. Or they will
do the most important part of the work. The more they do,
very well of course it is going to cost more.
You can probably get hold of just the shell bunch
for $35,000 to $45,000 and do everything
else yourself. This will depend on which house
and floor plan you are planning to use.
I know a lady who designs houses, make
up the blueprints and all you hold to do is
find a contractor. You tell her what you want
and she designs it. If this appeals to you,
you can email me and I'll distribute you her email
address and or her phone number.
My first ex-inlaws lived in a Jim Walter home,
theirs be built in the untimely 1950s.
This was within Mississippi. The house survived
Hurricane Camille in 1969 and Hurricane
Katrina surrounded by 2005, they were one of the few
houses on the coast that did not suffer
roof overexploit and houses on both sides
of them and across the street had roof interrupt.
These homes, like I said are thoroughly well built.
My ex-father-in-law did adjectives the work himself.
The thing that amazed me, I thought they have
the prettiest paneling and later discovered that
his wife have painted the walls to resemble paneling
and then they put a couple of coats of some sort
of acrylic sealer. I could own sworn it was a glorious
grade of paneling. Back next, 1950s, I think they
have just the shell erected on their property for just about
$5,000. Oh, one thing I do know, you enjoy to own the property where the house is man built.
Answers: I'll tell you what I know going on for them, which isn't much. A friend of mine built one on some property in the country. It be one story, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and probably half the square footage of this one. He get only the outer shell and the inside framing. No insulation, no ceiling, plywood flooring. It was wired inside and have the plumbing pipes but no fixtures. Everything else, he did himself. It cost him $30,000.
It ended up person very resourcefully built but there be some minor problems he had to speech to the foreman about. Overall, he's highly happy beside it.
And you're right: they won't give you prices until you sit down next to them and decide exactly how much of it you want them to finish.
Hope this help a little.
The minor problems be purely cosmetic. One of the shutters was put up crooked and a 2x4 used for a railing on the front steps have a burl fall out of a spy-hole, so the board had to be replaced. He said the foreman be great and took care of the problems instantly.
