The price difference is quite significant. I want a stand by generator to power 200 amp service, but I don't want to whip a second mortage to buy it. Is air cooled worthy enough?

Answers:    Do you really want a generator to supply a full 200A of current? If you can get by near only the essentials during a short outage something considerably smaller could be mediocre. I power much of my home with a 5500 watt generator.
