Hi Guys,

Quick question for everyone, I have an intex above ground 18ft x 12 ft oval pool. About 2 weeks ago i get some algae on the bottom (basically left the despenser out by accident) so i shock treated the pool. I also replaced the filter and put new tablets within the despenser. However last weekend the water be still cloudy and green. I have cleaned the algae off and we go in it Monday and its was greatly dark..

Does anyone know what that could be?? The filter is clean and i shocked it again Monday darkness, yet when i looked at it on Tuesday it was still cloudy.

Please comfort!
Answers:    Seems everyone is having that problem this year, myself included. I brought a water token to namco ( where I bought my pool origionally) and they test it for free. They told me my alkalinity be low. they suggested A.B.C , Alkalinity Balance control. Its a a powder you put in the pool. After adding it sweep your pool, an tolerate it run over night. The next hours of daylight vaccume your pool and back wash it. My level are all fine now that i did that, and enjoy had crystal clear water for a week. hope this help.
Hi!

First of all don't get "pool stored" they are contained by the business to sell your pool chems. and they usually make a unpromising situation worse.

First get yourself a good tryout kit and check your chlorine, pH, Total Alkalinity levels as economically as your CYA level. If these are not in go together. Your water won't be and you'll have nought but problems.

Post all that info at http://www.troublefreepools.com these people are great, they are a bunch of pool owners who relieve each other and help you say your pool and SANITY!
Your pool will be sparkling again in no time!!
