Worcester Boiler Cost Question? Help all...I hold a Worcester 28CDi boiler and an old 1930's house....
Help all...I hold a Worcester 28CDi boiler and an old 1930's house. We currently hold the heating set between 1 and 2 on the dial, this is to attempt to curb gas costs. The cross-question is, my boiler is rated as 22 kw/h, if I choose setting 1 is this approx 25% of this or is the difference between 1 and 4 much smaller amount (and thus I should run it hotter and keep warmer).
Thanks
Answers: This boiler (if it is standard efficiency) certainly rates between 9kw and 24kw, manufacturers recommend setting around 2 for summer and 3 for winter, but is dependent on number of radiators and insulation, to answer the cross-examine, the dial settings are not in 25% increments.
It's not really a give somebody the third degree of that. It depends on the outside temperature and how economically your house is insulated. If you have solitary 4" of loft insulation then stick another 4" over the top of it-it will foot back within under 2 years.
