Where to find the best wiring info for free on strip.
I have 3 wires from celing and 5 wires that necessitate connected from the fan. (The copper ground I know what to do beside. ) Red and White wires from celing need to connect to hanger-on wires , Black,Blue,White, and 2 green ground. What colors do i connect together, what do I do with the extra wires?
Answers: Here's a breakneck guess, ( don't know where the hurricane lantern fixture comes in).
You have 3 wires coming from the ceiling.
Green - Ground, Bare (You know adjectives of these go together)
White should not own any power in them and adjectives whites should go together (Common)
Red should be hot coming from the wall switch.
Fan Wires - Blue or Black should be in motion to the fan and it's buoyant kit if it have one. - If you have no table lamp kit on the lover, you can tie it off. It is easier to connect the black and blue wires together and to the red ceiling flex.
If you had two wires coming from 2 wall switches, next you would keep them separate. Ours here within SPAIN had the 1 telecommunication from the switch and when I tied the two (fan and light) wires together, I keep the verbs chain for the insubstantial on and when I turn on the wall switch, the light comes on. I use admirer pull secure to turn the fan on when I have need of it (when the switch is on) and I pull the muted chain sour if I need the disciple without the buoyant.
I wired many hundreds of ceiling fan as an electrician when I lived in New Jersey and although in attendance are different voltages here in Spain frequent fans enjoy several different color wires but they all work alike.
Good Luck ! ! !
black and blue are your power for the fan and the wishy-washy, as far as the red and white from the ceiling, cant tell you next to out checking it ... take rotten the wall switch if there is one and look at that. if within is no switch red is your power and white is neutral.
But as other, check your house wires with couple of checkers or a meter. In addition, I hold 3 different brands I am installing right now, and adjectives 3, black is for the fan and the blue is for the lights.
