Will WD-40 thaw out or harm plastic that's going through like mad of friction? I don't think WD-40 will break plastic if i just spray...

I don't think WD-40 will break plastic if i just spray it on and wipe it, but if I spray it inside something approaching a rubik's cube, will the plastic "die"?
Answers:    WD-40 will attack polycarbonate and clear polystyrene plastic. See:P http://www.wd40.com/faqs/#q8
It is possible the pin mechanism within a rubiks' cube is made of that so I would avoid WD-40 in this situation. Try Silicone Spray instead.
Do not use wd40 surrounded by the rubik cube, it will make mud next to the dirt in near and then stick awfully hard. Try using verbs air to blow the dirt out first the a powder type lubricant. Graphite will move out a black mess, but it is the slippery stuff, maybe talcum powder?
