I understand these lamps really get hold of hot.You cannot enjoy the lava lamp while your asleep so be secure save on your electric bill and turn it off.Besides is it worth worring in the order of causing a fire? No.only if something flammable is on it!
Not if it is in proper working directive. They are made to be on for extended periods. So long as someone hasn't put in a bulb specifically too large or the cord is damaged. But those things would be danerous anytime. I would most predictable cost more to have it on than a regular nite light. You can, but I wouldn't. If you approaching to watch it to fall asleep, pick up a timer for more or less 6 bucks. Put it on a timer, and have the timer turn it off at a guaranteed time.
