Why isn't my garage door closing? I have a Chamberlain garage door system. My mom did something this...

I have a Chamberlain garage door system. My mom did something this morning to try to carry it to opened, afterwards it didn't close. She call me when she left the house to inform me to merely leave it interested when I leave for university.

I got home from academy, went contained by the garage and parked, tried to close it and it didn't work. The chain ran/worked but it didn't close. Usually if it be something wrong with the sensors the hurricane lantern would flash but they were aligned. I can hear the motor run but it won't close.

What do I do?

Thanks within advance.
There is a sensor by the door at the bottom, it needs to be a clear rafter to the one one the other side, it's a safety entity, the door won't close in casing something is in the initial. She must have bumped it.

There is something wrong next to the "Motor"??? We had equal Thing- had to appointment a Professional and he told me, what was wrong- but I enjoy to admit I forgot since next!
I suggest call the company that manufactured the Opener! Or someone that does that humane of work!
I had tried to fix the Problem myself since several times and made it worse!
Answers:    Most Garage door systems own a manual over-ride. That enable the door to be opened or closed when the power go out. Being that the power is on, while it is in guide, you will hear the chain working but the drive/connection have been disengaged.

A rapid fix is to do the following.

***Find the motor where the tie up rotates from.
***Usually there is some type of chord, or rope flaccid 18 inches away from the motor.
***The chord has probably be pulled by your mom.
***Follow the chord to the motor box and you should see a small metal tab about 1/2 broad by 3 inches long. The tab is probable facing verticle. Once you find the metal tab push it up so it now sits horizontal. That will see the chain to ensnare thus enable the motor to verbs the door open and closed
