Why is my outside spigot leak?
I agree with tightening the packing nut. It is right beneath the handle. Turn the spigot on and turn the nut 1/4 turn. Shut bad the spigot and see if the leak stops. If not, you will entail to disassemble the faucet and replace the washer on the end of the stem.
question is to some extent vague. leak from the handle? or the spout? or?
as stated, if the knob is where the escape is, it's the packing nut, if from the spout then it's internal.
everyone states to revision the washer. if the seat is nick, changing washers will merely temporarily stop the leak.
sometimes it's of late easier to change the hose bibb itself. i've never particular of a hose bibb with rebuildable spaces.
