I have an above ground pool near a heater and the first time I tried it this year the space heater worked (about 2 months ago). I tried turning it on again a week ago and every day since afterwards and it won't turn on. I heard from a friend that sometimes pool heaters won't work if in that isn't enough wet pressure. My pressure is currently at about 18, could this be the problem or is within something else I should be checking. Also, if the pressure being too low is the problem, how can I increase the pressure? Any sustain would be greatly appreciated as I want to have a pool jamboree soon, but this cold water isn't going to be too inviting.
Answers:    If it is a pilot model, is the pilot lit? If it is next you could have a
problem near the pressure swith, the limit switch or the gas spigot itself. Also, pool heaters tend to have problems near corroded wiring do to the certainty they sit outdoors and are often contained by close proximity to chlorine. 18 psi should be adequate to shut your pressure switch. I would support calling a pro.
heres a link to adjectives pool heater problems: http://www.swimming-pool-information.com... if your pressure on filter is high(indicating dirty filter),this can bring heater not to fire
