When i click the oven knob, i get the roar, but no flame appears, therefore i'm hindmost to the cooks matches, on my knees to catch the flame going, which is no problem as it lights immediately.Whats the prob, i would be grateful if anyone could report to me.

The "click" should create a spark to table lamp the gas. If the electrode from the spark-creator is covered in oven gunk, consequently you get no spark.

Edit: It isn't a battery-operated. It's a peizo-electric sparker. If not, then it's D operated (like our gas hob).

Answers:    If the cooker has an electrical supply afterwards it wont have a battery-operated,if the grill or the hob lights automatically then the spark generator and the power supply are okay.Inside the oven on the burner in that is a small metal rod coated in bake-olite,this is the spark electrode,newly like a spark plug on a sports car,you need to clear sure that its clean.
