Why have propane costs shot out the roof? I live in Trenton, GA and spinal column in Sept. I jam-packed...
I live in Trenton, GA and spinal column in Sept. I jam-packed our 250 gallon tank up for $1.75 a gallon. I call yesterday and the lady told me propane be $2.20 a gallon. And that is beside a 150 gallon purchase.
Our home has a propane furnace. It heat up the home quick. We also enjoy a wall propane heater. We try not to run the big section because it will use up the propane a lot faster. We own to fill up give or take a few every 2 months. This is expensive. If propane prices continue to rise, after I don't now if we are going to know how to make it.
What is the government's excuse for climbing propane prices? How does the $2.20 per gallon of propane within my area compare to other areas across the US?
Answers: Propane is a byproduct of grease refining and to a lesser extent untaught gas recovery. The cost of propane is going up for equal reason as the cost of gasoline, diesel fuel and any other petroleum product for that event. Demand keeps going up, but antiquated oil well are going dry and new grease discoveries are not large plenty to make up the difference. This is certain as "peak oil" and it's simply going to get worse.
$2.20 a gallon is a accurate price compared to the $3.50 I was quoted here for the subsequent fill up. At that price it be cheaper to take out the propane cook stove and switch to electric, since electric here costs with the sole purpose 9.2 cents per KWH. My main heat system is fuel oil, but I also hold wood heat.
If you can go and get natural gas service, to be precise still the least expensive fuel per BTU of anything out in attendance except for wood from your own woodlot. If you can't get colloquial gas service, chances are you are out surrounded by the country where wood grill is a viable alternative. Look into getting an EPA certified wood stove installed and use that for at least bit of your heating requests.
$2.20 is about right. I don't devise the government have anything to do with LP prices anymore that near gasoline prices. why blame the government??? Spend smaller amount money on eating out, cable tv, cell phones, etc, and subsequent year, start saving contained by the spring for your winter gas bill...
