It worked wonderfully for a week and I was appreciating how well it turned bad compared to my last one which I just put up next to dripping. Suddenly yesterday when I turned it off it has a small flow and when I tighten it more it drips for 1/2 an hour. I tried to correction the washer but the valve is screwed on so hard I can't remove it. I haven't called the plumber back because he is gone on holidays. Is it because of sawdust or something? I cleaned the filter at the top and it be full of it. Grateful for any thoughts on this!
Try to Flush it out. It likely has a small bit of something to be exact preventing it to shut off properly. Don't over tighten ! I put in a alien kitchen recently and had like problem, had to call the plumber I am afraid. Wait til he get back and do so.

You may find it's the washer inside your hit.I know your tap is new to you but you don't know when it be produced so there is a chance it could own eroded. You can purchase them from any hardware store/plumbers merchants and get your partner/husband/male friend to change it for you. The drip is cause by a tiny bit of grit between the tap washer and the tap body. Also when you turn past its sell-by date a tap which has a large pillar. The water level is at the touch height of the pillar, so sometimes you get a bit of dripping but not as much as you own said.
Answers:    your probably right about the gritt. Unfortunately foreign objects get into pipes during a kitchen refit.and can smash up the ceramic plates on some quarter turn taps. However beyond repair damage is not often cause to taps fitted with rubber washers, I,d keep on till your tradesman comes home and ask him to look at it, he may not appreciate the unskilled efforts of someone else looking at it and invalidate any guarantees you may have
your washers are gone 1 turn water past its sell-by date 2 undo tap fittings3use spanner to uncouple the housing unit and you ll see the washer change it put the peices wager on and put water back on if that does work ring a plummer but you should try its very very comfortable youll see try bet it needs a new washer, or something wrong beside that one, something simple but as you said not easy if can't open to variation it.
Its very annoying but u need to telephone call the plumber do not tighten it urself as the washer might break off then u will be not here with no hope at all. Secondly to stop this wastage of dampen put o large bucket or something which can hold the water & u can craft use of it than opening the tap If you found sawdust within the screen it may be possible that there is some within the valve body itself. Also if there be any soldering done there could be a piece of that as well. You may own to turn off your supply lines. and disassemble your faucet and flush out the debris. If that doesn't work you could own a bad faucet.
