it hasn't turned on in something like 2 weeks. So it is hot in my house. I do enjoy a fan on and its cool when its cool outside but when its hot ouside its hot within here and stays that way til hours of darkness when it gets colder.
its 77 outside and 83 inside.
Can't appointment a ac guy cause we don't own money.
Check the circuit breaker or fuse. It may hold tripped. You may have a problem near the thermostat. Does the fan run if you put within on "run" instead of "auto"? Make sure the furnace breaker or fuse is ok too. Otherwise the problem could be with the section itself.
First piece I would check would be the circuit breaker - I had an apartment once where on earth the AC would trip the breaker periodically which would cause it to shut down.
I'm afraid thats the extent of my AC expertise.
Answers: Did u ever get a hose down hose and wash the coils out..??
It could be out of freon.. and that take a tech
it could be the thermostat
it could be a short..
it could be wore out
could be the compressor
so many things..
I am sweating the boil too..
in a couple of days it is to be contained by the 50's at night..afterwards..
