My dishwasher, garbage disposal, and microwave quit working. The outlets are patently out. Is there a risk of fire? Whats wrong? My house be built in 1952.
Answers: GFCI receptacle tripped. Circuit breaker tripped. Or Fuse blew. No risk of fire at adjectives. Reset or replace the fuse.
Dishwasher, disposal, microwave, and toaster is to much on the circuit. No wonder it tripped.
Check your fuses or breakers. There is no risk of fire if the electricity is off to these appliances. But if after you replace the fuse or reset the breakers and it blows the fuse or trips the breakers again, next it is probably because you are using too light amperage fuse or breaker. Dishwashers typically are on one smudge. Using all these appliances at once could be overloading the fuse or breaker. If it continues to evolve, contact an electrician.
