Why does the hose that flows from the bathroom faucet commonly smell fruitless?

Answers:    I'm guessing it might not be the water but the heavens coming back up out of the drain. If so, it is probably because the vent file for that part of your sewer system is blocked or broken. Check the top of the vent (it will be a pipe coming out of your roof directly above the bathroom) to craft sure a bird or insect hasn't covered it with a nest or something else that might be obstruct it. If it is broken, you will probably need a plumber to fix it but if it is basically obstructed you can often flush it out near a hose pushed down the pipe as far as possible, then turn on the hose down. Have someone in the bathroom to examine for water funding up though because it COULD come back up through the sink, tub or toilet and if it is indeed broken you may even draw from water soaking the walls. If within doubt, hire someone with the tools and knowhow to check it out for you.
