I've noticed that my gas cooker (oven and hob) smell strange when I put them on just this minute. They do not smell of gas, but rather similar to some kind of chemical smell...Its odd, I can't figure out what the problem is.
Any thoughts?

Answers:    There are a quantity of answers but you might want to have a repairman transport a look to be safe.

The usual sent of gas that you smell is in truth a chemical added to the gas so that you can smell it. It is possible the chemical is a bit off for some principle.

Also possible and more likely imho, is that something is burning that you can not see. Maybe slice of the unit that lights the flame.
