Lately, my toilet will just start running out of nowhere. It second for about 20-30 second, then stops. What is cause this to happen? It is a anguish, because when it does this it causes the hose to turn scalding hot when we are taking a shower. Any thoughts on how to fix it?
Answers: Easy. There are only 3 possible cause.
1) The rubber flapper is not making a good trademark. As the water slowy leak down into the bowl, the float in your reservoir slowly lowers until presto! Your fill spout kicks surrounded by and turns the water on merely long enough to pack the tank hindmost up. The process will repeat itself forever. And your water bill will be closely higher.
2) Your steep tube may be cracked. Most alway at the base. If it is you'll enjoy the exact symptoms as #1.
3) And lastly, the fill spigot itself could be going bad.
Most expected, it's #1. Spend 5 bucks or less at Home Depot and achieve the best flapper they have. Unhook the tie up from the flusher handle and calmly remove the flapper. When you put on the new one, a short time ago use the 2 little side ears, and not the circular piece that goes down the permeate tube.
At worst, you can buy the entire replacement kit complete beside instructions. If you replace all 3 components, you will certainly fix the problem. I've done a hundred of them. But again, it's most likely #1 and it's the cheapest. Give it a try.
check for a small filter in the toilet. for a time water runs out it refill. its probably really small, so may be hard to detect. i've have the same problem back and thats what was cause it.
