Answers:    Are you tripping the circuit breaker? the microwave is sensing something is not right - try unplugging it and plugging it into it's own outlet - with NOTHING ELSE plugged into it and see if that help. If it's a full-sized microwave, they are supposed to be on their own circuit.

If it's a new element and you are not tripping a breaker I would take it backbone because something is not right in the electronics. If it used to work fine and purely started doing this then it's still something messed up within the electronics and it needs to be repaired or replaced.
