I was climbing a metal stepladder to exit a courtyard. There's 3 transformers in the courtyard that own been disconnected but are still humming. There's no wires coming down from the transformers whatsoever, copper thieve have taken them adjectives. The ladder is roughly 6 feet from the utility poles, and nearby is a tree right by the ladder. Near the top my arm made contact beside the tree and I got zapped. Fortunately it wasn't strong satisfactory to knock me off the stepladder. Anyone know why this happened? Stray electricity? The cut power lines that used to be connected are baggy in the upper air, bare copper showing, but not touching anything approaching the tree.

the thieves stole the copper ground telecommunication.
if the ground was grounded you wouldnt be shocked at all.
stay away and tip off your neibors please.
If they are still humming there is power on the transformers. If it be raining that day you might not be around presently. I feel you should contact someone to go and get this problem corrected.
