If you live in a nouns where you draw from snow and the snow plow destroys your mailbox, who is responsible to get it fixed? Does anyone know who is? Is it your or the company that plows down the snow contained by your county, city etc?
Answers: It depends on the municipality. You need to send for the government agency resposible for the road surrounded by front of your house and find out the claim procedure. Where I live, the city will replace any mailbox that gets knock down by a city plow, but only beside a generic cheap mailbox. If you invested in an expensive box, you are SOL.
The city/county typically contracts that stuff out, so you can contact whoever did the plowing. If you are unsure, call for your commissioner.
