Who makes the best screwdrivers, wrenches, etc...

Please share any experiences you can. Thank you.
Sears immediately has a "Pro" strip for wrenches and tools that is better than their regular file.

I used all Craftman's tools but the regular smudge.

Snap on is good and guaranteed but existing expensive.

Working and going from job site to work site I tended to lose far more tools than I ever wore out. LOL.

So average trait is fine for me for working. I buy a little better for my home shop. But for work I freshly replaced more often. It is nice to enjoy a new tool not adjectives knicked up, beat up, or forever dirty from a lot of use.

And I kept a spare set or even two of those I used most regularly in overnight case I misplaced something. Time is of the essence while working on the clock. You can't spend time hunting up that one socket or short driver that fits.

JMHO
Different brands are good at different things. If you are discussion about non-battery, non-electric appendage tools, Stanley is good. Home Depot sell their Husky brand with a lifetime warranty. Just return it to the store for a replacement.

You will money more for quality.

DeWalt power tools is owned by Black and Decker very soon so they are not as good as they used to be.

Ridgid, Milwaukee, Makita are adjectives good brands for power tools.
Answers:    That really depends on what type of work you entail them for..I dont know of any one manufacturer that make the 'best' of ALL tools. Some make better chisels than others, some enjoy better wrenches, etc.

Sears used to be the best all around, expressly their mechanics sets, but with so much of their product coming from China presently, that is no longer true. Sears no longer offer their lifetime warranty on all their tools. single on 'select' tools - that is a central indicator that even they admit their feature isnt what it used to be.

Kobalt (sold at Lowe's) is a good set of tools, and have a lifetime warranty.

Vermont American doesnt make like mad of tools, when compared to others, but what they do make, carry a lifetime warranty.

Stanley still makes some of the best chisels on the souk, if you need them contained by the construction trades. They wouldnt be my first pick tho, for carving tools or carving chisels, hehe.

Crescent still makes some thoroughly good pliers and adjustable wrenches.

Did you know that Rubber Maid have started making a few tools? hehehe yep, and they've put some thought into them.

Here is a good rough and ready rule of thumb when you are looking to put together a tool set. look for product that has a lifetime warranty on it. When I buy tools, that's what I look for. Yes, they cost a bit more later those you find at 'dollar stores' heheh... or at Kmart, but they are worth it.

If you are just starting out to purchase tools, I'd importantly recommend the Kobalt line from Lowe's, for seriously of the general purpose type foot tools... screwdrivers, wrenches, etc. Then, if you specialize in your work, you can select more expensive pieces then... A lot of woodworking tools, for example, you need to take from a woodworking supply company.

Have Fun
What trade? Rigid is the best pipe fitters stuff you can get. DeWalt have a good smudge of battery operate power tools. Turbo torch is the best oxi-ace torch I've used. Snap On has some great paw tools.

My bits and taps are home made or special establish.
