I always stipulation to pull or push it thorny to close or open the door. Anyway to loosen the lock myself or any guidance?
Answers: There are a couple of reasons why a door will not be smooth to open or close.
First and most commonly, it is out of square. To check for this, look at the door near it closed... the gap along the top, and down the crest should be even, all the channel. If it isn't, it will bind or stick. Options for treatment, include shaving the door, to adjusting the frame. Sometimes, simply using a longer screw thru the top hinge, into the jamb, will aid pull it rear into place.
Second situation, is where the strike plate is out of adjustment. In this shield, the door will swing open and shut, but it will be complex to 'latch'. Often the strike plate can be moved forward just a bit, and it will latch easier. Sometimes, it is important to move it up, or down, just a bit, to align it better beside the latch. Since you mention the lock, I suspect your door swings ok, but is hard to latch.. so look at the strike plate. (The strike plate is the metal part of the pack on the door jamb). Some folks suggest filing the plate...I prefer to simply move it a bit. If you find the screw holes for the plate tend to verbs it back into place, a couple of toothpicks inserted into them will assistance stop that.

I am guessing that your door is probably swollen from humidity. Wood expands in the fry and the door can become jammed. For an at-home fix you could try sanding down the side of the door so that it can swing more freely. GOOD LUCK!
