Hi, I have a dishwasher (Whirlpool ADG 710) that get stuck partway through the cycle so it never finishes.

I've also noticed that the heat element is blackened around some of the contact points. I'm not sure if this is related to what's cause the cycle not to finish or not.

My question is if anyone know how much it might cost to replace the heating factor - not sure whether to get it replaced (& hope the cycle will afterwards finish) or simply buy a new dishwasher.

Any backing gratefully received

Dave
Answers:    try using a pin to poke the tiny holes in the arms that spin round. if they return with blocked it will cause it to stop mid cycle. I learn that after paying to get it fixed
Sounds similar to something is wrong with the electrical system. If it were me, I'd buy a contemporary dishwasher. They need to be replaced more or less every 5 years anyway. I am on my 4th one in 26 years. We enjoy hard dampen.
