Answers:    I agree beside you. A 30-weight oil is good because of its molecular structure.
Is it okay to wax vinyl floors?
Wax can repeatedly get stuck in your gears, hose down can wash out with precipitation, adhesive I am not sure about, silicone is iffy, can work for some bikes and not others, I'd stay away from Fluoroether, and plastic can grounds your gears to grind a bit, Oil is your best bet
