Answers: Leaving the warmth at a constant or semi constant temperature is other better than off and on. Turning the A/C rotten is going to allow not just the atmosphere in the room to warmness up, but it's going to allow the items in the room (furniture, walls, etc.) to reheat up and radiate their heat. It will help yourself to longer to cool the room as these items will still radiate their heat during the cooling process. This contained by turn will require your A/C unit to work harder and longer contained by turn costing more for it's operation. Test it on and off for a month and afterwards on for a month and I bet you'll be surprised that on all the time will be cheaper..
If you can survive minus the AC, it is always better to turn it rotten. Reducing the temp setting does save electricity because the AC will run smaller quantity often, but better still is to turn it rotten because then it will not run at adjectives. An AC should only be used when the room is populated.
