Where can i find a password protected thermostat so someone can not revision the temp? Don't really wanna put a big old lock box on it.

I haven't heard of any password protected. But lots of the premium thermostats have a built surrounded by locking feature. For more info, check out the thermostat page at www.hvac-for-beginners.com
For bake pump, gas or oil furnace? AC added? Very different thermostats for respectively application, with the gas and grease furnaces being the simplest. Thermostats for these can be bought at the big box stores (Home Depot, etc). If it is a steam pump, the wiring is much more complex and I would suggest you contact a dealer/installer because you potential won't be able to buy at a retail outlet, and if you did muddle through to get one, the electrics can be very tricky.
As far as password protection, I would deem somebody makes one but haven't if truth be told seen one. Don't blame you for not wanting the cover box, they are repulsive and easily circumvented within most cases.
Answers: Honeywell and WhiteRogers brands enjoy a lockout feature built into their sophisticated end thermostats and they are unanimously made to work with any type system.
They are available at most of the DIY suppliers, expect to discharge around $150 or more because they are usually used in a commercial setting and hold all the bells and whistle built in.
