I have a Craftsman 6.0 HP lawnmower that's be in the garage for 4 years. The fluids be never drained from it. I'm afraid that trying to start it up will damage it if I don't do the right upholding on it.
Answers:    i have be a small engine mechanic for about seven years, so i've see this problem more than once. start of by removing the sediment bowl, dump it out and spray it with carb cleaner. watch out not to get any cleaner on ANY gasket or trademark as they will be ruined. take out the pin that hold the float and remove the hypodermic BE VERY CAREFUL this needle is straightforward to lose. spray cleaner through the needle form and rplace needle and float. at hand should be a stem beside the needle form, this contains a jet, spray cleaner surrounded by the end to verbs. reassemble the carb and reattach to motor refeul and replace oil and start mowing. if problem(s) keep on feel free to contact me via e-mail. perfect luck

you can also verbs the plug (leave it out ) and squirt a little fluffy weight grease into the cylinder, then verbs the cord for the mower lightly to run the piston rear legs and forth in the cylinder, this will assist pre-lube your rings they may have become set contained by place. then replace spark plug, the grease will burnt rotten with start up
