Whats the difference between home electrics and generator electrics?
All electricity comes from a generator of some sort, except for, conceivably lightning. The difference is in the fuel source for the generator, not surrounded by the electricity produced.
'home electrics' come from a substation, which is where on earth your earth comes from any through the general mass of planet or (a tt installation)
or through the neutral cable (tnc)
or( tnc-s/ pme) where on earth the earth is supplied down the metal armor sheathing of the incoming cable .
incoming nominal uk voltage of 230v (a)50hz
same voltage and hz from a generator, but the main difference between the two systems, is that within is no earth as such.
at the genny, the top soil & neutral are combined to offer protection, or an dust spike can be installed (eg a buliding site)
hope this helps
;-)
Answers: Both are generated, one at home and one by the national grid
