Answers:    Am not sure vinyl and slate go together contained by the same sentence. Assumption would be you bought some nice of composite flooring or it came beside your place, and looks like slate but is certainly a composite that could be partially vinyl.

Try a small mixture of vinegar and hose with a small brush within an out of the way place. If that does not work, try lemon liquid and a scrubbie. If that does not work, use a toothbrush and some baking soda. It could be that what you have is a buildup of other cleaning materials accumulate over time, thus making the floor look dull.

You have to remove the weak stuff to get fund to the original shine. If you are successful, in that are floor care products that do not build up and they are so advertise on their labels. I would use one designed for laminate flooring or for vinyl floors, specified to not build up over time.
