I need to bring back tape bad of these metal cabinets but I don't want the paint to come rotten too. The tape lines the insides of doors so that bugs can't catch in. However it have corroded over time and needs to be removed. It's particularly old and pretty so trying to peel it stale doesn't work well. I've be using alcohol and razor blades so far.
soak a small cotton in a kerosene and use it to wipe stale the tape. After removing the video, use soap and warm sea to clean it

The best product I enjoy found is called "Goo Gone". It's made by Magic American Corporation, Cleveland, Ohio.
www.googone.com.
I hope this help.
Answers:    Use WD40; spray on or return with one of the new WD40 pen for close in places. Almost any character of oil will dissolve that sensitive of tape, but the WD40 works best..
