What's the best entity to use to plug up the small cracks that tolerate surrounded by outside nouns when you own a porthole a/c? I have tried that foam stuff, but they don't receive it...

I have tried that foam stuff, but they don't receive it for small areas -went to hardware store & the stuff I found there fell out when the rain/humidity get to it..
Answers:    I use round foam packing that can be found at most retail home improvement stores. It comes within a roll, it's can be cut to length with scissors. I sometimes cut it into a partially moon shape if I need to fit it into a smaller nouns. I just poke it contained by there and it will stay within there short glue. It forms itself to the hole. I keep hold of it on hand.
If the windowpane a/c is going to be there are the time, you could budge all out. Don't rely on the accordion style vinyl wing on the a/c. Measure and cut plywood to fit in the gap on either side of the a/c. Secure it into place and next you will have something sturdy that you can afterwards screw those vinyl wings into. Caulk it up to stamp it properly. Paint it up and you are done. It is worth the time if the unit is going to be nearby for years.
