Im looking at getting some renovations done to my house.. Bathroom, basement, kitchen, bedrooms. Just wondering what the average hourly rate would be for a jack of adjectives trades contractor to do everything from start to finish except any electrical or plumbing work. This would be the one contractor doing everything. hourly rate for just one individual, or PER person he have working with him. Thanks contained by advance!
i'm guessing that he is not a lic. contractor, so a good avg wages scale would be $ 20.00 per hr....a lic. gen. contractor would obtain about $75.00 per hr......engender sure he gets a travel document and u get a contract.....

lic. gen. contractor
That depends upon where you are. For example, I'm an Australian living contained by Thailand so I can give you both Thai rates & Australian rates.

Thai rates - 300 Baht per light of day. (30 Baht = AUD$1.00)
Australian rates - between 30 & 40 Australian dollars per hour.
Answers:    I am a contractor, and work any way, if i present a fixed price for a project I load it up, because I am carrying adjectives the risk.

For an hourly rate in the Northern Virginia nouns I charge $70 per hour, for myself, I charge my staff out at $40 per hour.

This is what I offer some of my clients who craving to pay by the hour, I make available them a rough estimate upon how long the project should take, according to what I can see, I engineer it very clear and confirm within writing that if sub floors need to be repaired, further work that may be required to complete the project to meet beside code and provide quality workmanship, the imaginative time frame, could change significantly.

I next give the client, customers a attain out clause, that states if for any reason the customers is not joyful with the progress of the installation, they will pay packet me for all hours that enjoy been worked, and own the right to fire me without identify.

This way, the customer feel secure surrounded by the knowledge I am going to work beside their interests at heart, I also make it tremendously clear that if the customer wishes me to purchase materials upon their behalf, I shall be willing to do so, but charge a 25% handling charge upon the final cost of the materials.
I do not charge my hourly rates to go to the stores.

Go to Home Depot, Spend two hours picking stuff up, and afterwards using my trucks and labor force costs me money, I have to elapse these cost factors onto my customers, within order to prolong my business. I work fair beside all of my clients, and everyone know where they stand, if I see my staff not doing their position properly, I make it exceedingly clear in front of the customer and staff, and read aloud things like, I am paying you by the hour to work, and I expect you to be working, and so does my Customer.

Time is money, and it's really important to adjectives parties, progress is made.

I am licensed and insured, and adjectives of our installations and remodeling projects conform to local and state codes.

I hope this information shall be of benefit to you.

I realize that some people will read this, and judge I charge too much, we get a great deal of work done each light of day, and I have however to find a single customer who has complained give or take a few our quality of workmanship and dedication to man professional.

Paul.
A contractor does not work for hourly wages! They afford bids. They are taking on the responsibility of guaranteeing the job is done right, (you could sue him)furnishing tools, and ins. Which is overhead for him. Only an idiot contractor would work by the hour unless it close to $200 a hour. Remember GET IT WRITING.
