What's going on beside our sea? Last month our water bill said we used 4200 gallons of hose...
Last month our water bill said we used 4200 gallons of hose when we normally use roughly speaking 500. This month, they said we used 8000 gallons of water.
They said our meter isn't broken, and one toilet did put together a very extraordinary noise yesterday...but besides that we haven't notice anything wrong.
Our neighbor does have a pool...and though I'd approaching to think they're a upright family, I'm germ to think they are stealing our wet for their pool. Is that even possible?
Ahhhh...what do I do? Any tips or ideas on what's going on?
When you teem pools for the season, that generally should do it for the season, except hose loss from swimming (not alot) or evaporation from the sun if there's no cover. The rest is maintenance. Only other piece would be if they had to do repairs and have to do a partial drain of water.
Have hear about ethnic group stealing water and/or electricity from their neighbors. It's not totally unheard of.
However, until that time you go to the neighbors, check for any and adjectives possibilities for the water usage at your own home. Broken underground pipes etc.
Go to the sea company with your regular bills in foot and the past few months bills. Ask if they could compair your bills next to the neighbors bill to see what they come up with. Only point about this is, they most expected can't give out that info to you.
Only other alternative I can construe of is shut off any hose down supply out lets you own outside your home and see what happens when you achieve your next bill.
If you requirement to use you out side water use it, but turn if bad inside the house when you're done. Think that's a pretty simple thing to do.
End of story ... run out of ideas.
Almost for sure it's a toilet. A doomed to failure flapper will pass wet & you might not ever know.
The way to put in the picture is to put food coloring in the toilet reservoir (kool-aid will work) and you should not see that coloring in the bowl. If it does well up in, replace the flapper & theory test again. Also check that the water plane in the reservoir is approx 1" below the overflow (the 1" vertical tube in the middle). If it can't be set to that plane, you may have to replace the spread valve.
Answers: 4200 is nearly an average use for a family. 8000 might be a short time high. How long hold the neighbors had the pool? Put some plumber's putty surrounded by the end of your faucet within just far satisfactory so you don't see it. Then check it everyday to see if it is still there.
progress to your meter with no dampen running in the house check your butterfly reins on your meter if its spinning you have a river leak name a plumber
