We've had problems where on earth sewage has back up through our basement toilet. The problem is cause by the city sewer system being clogged beside debris and we are located at a low spot. What do you suggest we install (be specific please) to prevent this problem?
Answers: There are back-flow preventers on the open market. some are like a short piece of 4" pipe beside a large plastic bubble inside..It allows flow out but rolls back to stop hindmost flow.I've used one that has a flapper surrounded by it..It was from s Menard's store..Depending on how your drainage system is set up..You may necessitate to break the floor beyond any drains..& this isn't hard to do..You can rent a concrete saw if needed.
