What would motive my furnace pilot to maintain going out? ...
Answers: You probably need a unknown thermocouple. It's the part that senses roast from the pilot and holds the pilot valve unfurl, or turns off the gas supply should the pilot step out. They tend to go doomed to failure after awhile...
A thermocouple is just a gooey filled tube that pushes a piston out of the connector winding up when heated to control the gas valve. As they capture older, they'll require more and more warmth to push the piston out as far, until they fail on really blowing days when the pilot flickers... or especially cold days..., etc...
Could also be that the pilot flame is simply adjusted too small, so that it blows out slickly or doesn't heat the thermocouple sensor suitably. There's usually an adjustment screw handy...
Most likely a blockage. Have your boiler professionally cleaned. This could save you any undue problems!!
