What would end in my Kenmore dryer not to run? I know it is not the belt because that looks fine, One...
I know it is not the belt because that looks fine, One problem it had was every time I shut the door it would spin near no heat. Now the lights come on, but no spin, I am thinking I need a hot operating thermal fuse ? Could it be a faulty door switch? I do not think the motor is blown.
check the fuse sometimes there are 2 one for the warmness the other to spin
You're close, you gave us the make, but not the fry source. Either type of dryer could have a problem with a door switch. The just way to test that for sure, is to pop the top and disconnect the lead to the switch, with the dryer unplugged. If there are one and only two leads, then you can check it by connecting the two lead together and trying the start switch, after plugging it back in. If it works later it was the switch. If not, then the most predictable culprit is a thermal fuse in the rear of the part, under the back plate. It's a small, white, any oblong or football oval shaped item with two small spade terminals sticking up, hopefully, next to wire leads attached. Continuity routine good, no continuity means no pious. It sounds like you may have a fruitless door safety switch. Good luck
Answers: Sounds similar to you might have more than one problem. Door switch could definitely be one of them. Take a look here for some comfort: http://www.repairclinic.com/0088_8_1.asp
